Hanbok rental FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for first-time visitors.

How far is Seohwa Hanbok from Gyeongbokgung Palace?
We are only 1 minute from Gyeongbokgung Palace, located right in front of the Gyeongbokgung Station elevator. From Exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3), head toward the palace and you’ll find us immediately.
What are your opening hours?
We are open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The last rental is accepted at 4:00 PM.
How much does it cost to rent a hanbok?
A 4-hour rental is 24,000 KRW, a full-day rental is 32,000 KRW, and a 1 night / 2 days rental is 40,000 KRW. Each additional hour after 4 hours is 6,000 KRW. All premium designs are the same price.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not mandatory, but without one you may need to wait. We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends and public holidays. Send your name, visit date and time, and number of people to [email protected] or Instagram @seohwahanbok.
What sizes are available? Do you have plus sizes?
We offer male sizes up to 2XL and female sizes up to 4XL (fitting a chest size of roughly 150–160 cm), so most body types are covered. Hanbok for children is also available in various sizes.
Do I need a deposit or passport?
Yes. One passport per group plus a 10,000 KRW cash deposit per person is required. If you prefer not to leave your passport, a passport photo plus a 50,000 KRW deposit per outfit is required, though passport deposit is preferred due to store policy. The deposit is returned after inspection.
